Ashton And Demi: The Sitcom

No one can say that Ashton Kutcher isn't getting a kick out of his life, not to mention putting public relations to task. "30-year-old grandpa" is the current title for a pilot Kutcher has sold to Fox. The show tells the story of a young man who marries a woman in her 40s who's the mother of a pregnant 22-year-old.

Public Relations Quandary

Whether the show ever makes it to TV is an open question, but clearly Kutcher isn't afraid of the controversy his marriage to Demi Moore may have caused. Moore's oldest daughter is 17, making daughter and stepfather closer in age than stepfather and mom. For public relations reasons, the producers of the show say it has nothing to with Demi and Ashton.

Public Relations Careerists: Dodge The Controversy

Instead, they say, the show is just a "very modern, messy look at an extended American family." According to reports, the pilot's plot begins with the older woman discovering she is pregnant soon after her wedding to her much younger husband. Her 22-year old daughter is pregnant, too.

The show is set in Chicago and the older woman is a professional attorney, which, indeed, keeps the story distant from Kutcher's real story.

Demi And Ashton Forever

After a three-year courtship with many pubic relation challenges, Moore and Kutcher were married on Sept. 24, 2005, in Beverly Hills, California, in front of 100 guests, during a brief, traditional ceremony.
